Dr. Marino graduated in Medicine and specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Bologna. His main clinical focus in recent years has been on the breast. His daily practice and frequent attendance of courses and seminars in some of the most reliable national institutions have allowed him to acquire a thorough expertise in the field of breast diagnostics and surgery.
Dr. Marino completed an internship in surgical oncology and reconstructive breast surgery in 1995-1996, first at the Oncological Surgery Department of the Netherland Cancer Institute in Amsterdam (Netherlands), then with the Surgery Service of the Centre de lutte contre le cancer Henri Becquerel in Rouen (France).
He later collaborated with the center of the Breast Care Clinic gynecological and obstetric hospital Saint Ursula as a consultant where he carried out routine outpatient tasks, second level breast diagnostics (ultrasound, cytology, eco- color Doppler), interventions for breast cancer and reconstructive surgery.
He currently practices privately as a specialist in diagnostic sand breast surgery at various accredited centers.
Since 2012 he has been a breast-imaging consultant for the ANT Foundation which also performs clinical activity for the prevention of mammary tumors.
Dr. Marino performs about 3000 breast health visits annually, carrying out breast ultrasounds, needle aspirations and/or surgical biopsy of suspicious lesions.
Besides his clinical activity, he is also dedicated to research and scientific production, taking part regularly in several Italian and international conferences. He also attends theoretical and practical update courses.
He is the author of several scientific publications on breast health, is a member of the National Task Force on breast cancer (FONCAM), and is a former student of the Italian School of Senology.
